Wildfire in the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge Impacting Outer Banks
Going on vacation to the Outer Banks soon? You might want to read about the wildfire in the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge, over near Manteo. As this video shows, the smoke from the wildfire is having a significant impact on OBX
The N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources is releasing regular air quality advisories, which can be found here. You know has Washed DC has Code Orange days when the heat and humidity is just nasty here? North Carolina is experiencing Code Red and Code Purple days. Yeah. I know. The map below is from Monday.
